Accessibility Statement

The Chancery Hotel in Dublin is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all our guests and visitors, ensuring that our facilities and services can be enjoyed by individuals with diverse needs and abilities. We strive to meet and exceed relevant accessibility standards in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and national regulations. This statement outlines the accessibility features of our physical building and our commitment to digital accessibility.

Vertical Features (Elevators and Stairwells):

  • Elevators: Our elevators are equipped with timing devices and re-opening activators to ensure safe entry and exit. They feature tactile indicators and raised buttons for floor navigation, assisting visually impaired guests.
  • Stairwells: All stairwells are equipped with continuous handrails along flights and landings for stability. For emergency preparedness, both stairwells have two disabled refuge call points on each floor. The main disabled refuge panel is centrally located at the back office, with an additional panel at the fire escape lobby route.

Sanitary Facilities:

  • Accessible WC Facilities: Accessible WC facilities are available in both public and staff areas throughout the hotel.
  • Emergency Assistance: Each accessible WC is fitted with an emergency assistance alarm system, reachable from a wheelchair, complemented by visual and audible indicators for emergency calls.
  • Accessible Controls: Lighting and heating controls within these facilities comply with accessibility standards for ease of use.
  • Safe Flooring: All accessible sanitary facilities feature firm, slip-resistant floor surfaces and contrasting finishes for enhanced visual clarity and safety.
